The Epitaxy Workshop will take place at the SICK SIA Campus in Waldkirch-Buchholz, which is just a 12-minute train ride from Freiburg's main station.

The SICK SIA campus in Waldkirch-Buchholz (near Freiburg) is conveniently located and accessible by many forms of transportation. Freiburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is about 15 km from Buchholz and is a stop on Intercity and ICE routes. The nearby A5 motorway (Karlsruhe/Basel) offers connections in all directions. Both Basel-Mulhouse and Strasbourg international airports are about an hour away.

Travel information

Arrival by train

At Freiburg Central Station (Breisgau), take the S-Bahn towards Elzach and get off at Buchholz (Baden) station. You can reach the SIA campus on foot in 5 minutes.

Arrival by car

Follow the A5 from Karlsruhe or Basel. Take the Freiburg-Nord exit, then the B294 towards Waldkirch to the Waldkirch-Buchholz exit. Turn right, follow the main road to Buchholz, then turn right onto Schwarzwaldstraße. The SIA campus is approx. 100 m ahead.

Arrival by plane

From Basel-Mulhouse EuroAirport:
Exit on the French side of the airport if you want to take the SBG Airbus to Freiburg Bus Station.
